Welsh Chocolate Fountains helps raise money for BBC Children In Need Appeal 2009

For the third year in a row Welsh Chocolate Fountains will be at Tesco Extra at Parc Trostre in Llanelli to help raise money for the BBC 'S Children In Need Appeal.
On Friday 20th November 2009 We will be there giving out tasters of our delicious Belgian chocolate from 11 a.m until 4 p.m in exchange for a small donation for this worthy cause. There is no set price but a minimun donation of 50p would be appreciated.
In exchange for your donation you will recieve a chocolate kebab with strawberries or marshmallows which is delicious. Please come down and visit us and drop your donation into one of the buckets of one of the Tesco staff members, Thank you.

Autumn wedding Fayres at Ffos Las, Stradey Park Hotel and Parc Y Scarlets Llanelli

Welsh Chocolate Fountains will be exhibiting at three venues in the autumn of 2009 in Carmarthenshire. Most wedding fayres usually run from 11 a.m until 4 p.m and are usually free to attend.

The first of the bridal shows will be at the prestigious Ffos Las racecourse at Carway near Trimsaran on Sunday 26th September, this should be a very big event with lots of local wedding suppliers exhibiting as it is the first wedding exhibition to be held at this brand new venue so please feel free to come along.

Next will be at The Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli on Sunday 25th October which is being organisied by Liz from CJ Balloons.

Last but not least is the bridal fayre at Parc Y Scarlets on Sunday 1st November which is being organised by EMC which is the company that has the contract for all the catering at the newly built stadium.

Please try to come along to one of these events and don't forget to try a taster from my chocolate fountain. I will be at each event giving out free samples of various items such as strawberries , marshmallows, donuts and many more yummy items.

Spread the cost with a payment plan

The current global credit crunch is certainly having it's effect on the wedding market in 2009. Brides are having to cut back on lots of the luxury extras they booked before the credit crunch started and as their special day is approaching they are having to make do with the essentials such as dresses, rings & suites etc. If you really want a chocolate fountain at your wedding party for you and all your guests to enjoy then don't worry as we can arrange some sort of monthly payment plan for you to spread the cost over a number of months, please ask us for details. with a payment plan you will not be left with a big lump sum to pay off just before your special day.
Don't forget that people really do love chocolate fountains and they also keep your guests entertained while they are waiting for the evening party to get going. Don't get sucked in and go for the really cheap(unattended) chocolate fountains as you are asking for trouble as unattended fountains are a dissaster waiting to happen. if there is no one to supervise your chocolate fountain people can mess around and get chocolate everywhere which could leave you with a considerable cleaning bill.
Some venues are now offering chocolate fountains as part of a package deal making you think that you are having a good deal, remember there is nothing for nothing in this life and you will be paying for it somehow, leave it to the full time professional companies as we always depend on word of mouth feedback for future bookings which means that evry single booking is just as important as the next booking or previous booking.
Hopefully only once you'll have to book things for your special day so ensure that you have chosen a well established and well respected company like ourselves. Do your research and look online for testimonials about your chosen company to establish that they are a reputable company. Also check that they have public liability insurance in place, food hygeine certificates and that the fountains have been electrically PAT tested. some companies can offer you much cheaper fountain packages because they are doing it on the cheap and do not have those things in place. you should also ask what chocolate is being used in the fountain, it should be a quality Belgian couverture chocolate such as Callebaut, which is specially made for chocolate fountains. There are much cheaper chocolates out there being used but Callebaut is truly delicious but it is also very expensive.

Welsh Chocolate Fountains does Red Nose Day for Comic Relief at Asda, Llanelli

Welsh Chocolate Fountains will be selling chocolate covered kebabs at Asda in Llanelli this Friday, Red Nose Day to raise money for the Comic Relief Appeal.
I have done a similar thing at Tesco in Llanelli for the BBC's Children in Need Appeal for the last two years so i thought it would be a good idea to start doing something for Comic Relief and that Asda Llanelli would be an ideal place to do it.
i will be selling strawberry, marshmallows & dinky donut chocolate kebabs from around 11 a.m until about 5 p.m this Friday 13th March 2009. to keep inline with the Red Nose theme, I will be colouring white chocolate a Scarlet Red colour. I will also have another fountain with my normal delicious milk chocolate flowing in it so why not come along and treat yourselves and your children and also raise money for charity at the same time.

All profit made on the day will be donated to the Comic Relief appeal, I am giving my own time for nothing as i believe it to be a worthy cause. I look forward to seeing you on Friday, prepare yourself for a delicious treat!!!

Natra and Barry Callebaut join forces in Eouropean Alliance

It was announced earlier this morning that Natra, the Spanish chocolate giants have signed a memorandum of understanding with Barry Callebaut the Belgian chocolate giants regarding the combination of their European consumer chocolate businesses.

This is very big news in the chocolate world but who knows what effects it will have on the world of chocolate fountain HIRE , I guess we will just have to wait and see what trickles down from this enormous announcement:

Natra, as a result of the transaction, would become a significant private label chocolate maker in Europe with 2008 pro forma sales of around €850 million/CHF 1,270 million
Barry Callebaut would focus on its core business with industrial and artisanal customers while becoming a minority shareholder of Natra
Barry Callebaut would supply a minimum of 85,000 tonnes p.a. of liquid chocolate to Natra under a long-term outsourcing contract
The transaction is subject to certain conditions, in particular secured long-term financing

Valencia, Spain / Zurich, Switzerland, March 3, 2009.- NATRA, European reference private label chocolate player, and BARRY CALLEBAUT, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality cocoa and chocolate products, have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the possible integration of Barry Callebaut's European consumer chocolate business (Stollwerck) into Natra.

The combination of the two businesses would create a significant private label and third-party chocolate products maker in Europe with estimated annual sales of around €850 million/CHF 1,270 million, according to pro forma combined figures for 2008, a share of 2.0% of the entire European cocoa and chocolate market and a pro forma production output of around 215,000 tonnes in 2008.

Welsh Chocolate Fountains would like to announce to all the Swansea, Llanelli, Neath & Port Talbot and surrounding areas future brides that we will be attending a wedding fayre this Sunday, 22nd February 2009 at Sketty Hall in Swansea. The wedding fayre will be open from 11 a.m until 4 p.m and it is free to attend. there will be many companies in attendance so why not come along and get some wedding ideas. the wedding fayre is being organised by Catherine of 1st choice photography.

Welsh Chocolate fountains recently provided a giant chocolate fountain with pink chocolate for Anysha Panesar's Birthday Party which was filmed by MTV and is due to be screened for the first time on Sunday 1st Feb 2009 at 9.30 p.m . the show is called My Super Sweet Sixteen (UK).

The evening was a great success with perfomances by NDUBBS and DJ Ironic. Don't miss this spectacular birthday party which was filmed at The Grand Pavillion, Porthcawl.

Ice Sculptures coming soon to Welsh Chocolate Fountains

Due to a recent increase in the interest in Ice Sculptures for weddings and other functions I have decided to add ice sculptures to my services which i can offer to customers. i am currently dealing with a company in this matter and i should be able to offer ice sculptures from around April 2009. watch this space for further announcements.

We can now offer you genuine hand carved ice sculptures with bespoke wedding themes or you can even come up with your own design. don't settle for immitation ice carvings that are just made from tap water put into plastic moulds, there is no substitute for the real thing.
